For this reason, Federico II installed his soldiers in cubante region, the natural border between Popeandamp;rsquo;s Reign and his own. His Castle, whose imposing structure still dominates the hill, was probably destined to be a loca solatiorum (shooting lodge), being surrounded by a luxurious wood. It boasts a superb setting on the top of a hill from where the panoramic view is breathtaking. From Belsole the famous towers of San Gimignano can clearly be seen, as well as the ancient hamlet of Certaldo Alto, once home to the Italian writer Boccaccio.

The estate is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards in an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity. The historical towns and villages of Tuscany are within easy reach by car from the villa and the Rome-Florence motorway (A1) is only 5 miles away.
The property includes: the main house (Villa) and cottage (Casina). A well-designed swimming pool complete with deck chairs offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. In the Villaandamp;rsquo;s garden there is a 16-meter long swimming pool surrounded by a beautiful stone wall and a sun-terrace. Over the pool looms, the beautiful bridge, which divides the pool into deep end and shallow end (0.9-3 m). On the pool terrace you can sunbathe, relax and admire the beautifully folding Tuscan hills, with an occasional stern cypress here and there and the lovely olive groves.
In the shade of the Mediterranean pine trees there is the outdoor grill and large pizza oven. Tuscany is world famous for its steak from the white chianina cow and, naturally, its enchanting red wines. In the garden you will find the fresh herbs traditionally used in Italian cooking, the mere scent of which makes your mouth water.
This beautiful and spacious villa which once belonged to the nobil family Leonori Cecina is situated on a hilltop (approx. 250 a.s.l.) and has been renovated by the present owners with extreme care. From this sunny and peaceful position one can admire the splendid panorama of the Florentine and Siena Countryside.
The ample park (approx. 10,000 s.m.) which surrounds the villa is rich with Cyprus and olive trees and other admirable plants and creates the perfect setting for the swimming pool (7 x 14 m) - open from June until September.

The property sits high up a hill 300m above sea level from where it is possible to enjoy a stunning view from Genoa to San Remo. Typical farm-house in quiet and panoramic position, situated in the middle of Valdichiana valleys, it is characterized by natural surroundings, each of them presenting several varities of landscapes, where one can taste all sounds and flavours of nature.
The farm-house is surrounded by a large green area, which lies in the shade of old oaks, equipped with a barbecue, an oven with firewood and garden furniture. It represents a suitable place to eat outdoor. When it gets too hot, the swimming pool (10x4) which lies in the sun all day long, guarantees some relief.
Right next to the house there is a flying centre for light aircrafts and a renowned horse centre, where on request it is possible to practice these sports.
The farm-house lies just a few kilometres away from Castiglion Fiorentino, a characteristic medieval village whose origins date back to the Etruskan age. Here one can have lovely walks and visit many of the village historical mouments. Moreover, the village enjoyes a very favourable position as a starting point for excursions either to Tuscany (Firenze, Siena) and Umbria (Perugia, Assisi).
The villa is located in Nogarole Vicentino, in the municipality of Vicenza halfway between Arzignano (the biggest town in the area) and Nogarole (a small hamlet with about 1000 inhabitants) at 200 m above sea level.

Venice 90km; Padua 60km; Verona 40km; Vicenza 20km. Montecchio Maggiore, the renowned locality boasting the castle of Romeo and Juliet is only 10km distant. The Adriatic coast, Jesolo, Ferrara, Chioggia, Sottomarina can be reached by car in one hour or a bit more. The Dolomites and the Garda lake are easily reachable in one hour, one hour an a half.
The region is rich in history, culture and gastronomy. Not to forget the many villas designed by the architect Palladio, situated mainly in Vicenza, in Padua and Verona too, and the basilica in the centre of Vicenza.
Our property is situated at the door of the Casentino valley rich in history and tradition. The area boasts a profusion of Romanesque parish churches scattered in an unspoiled countryside. Not to mention the gastronomic delights, the castles, the well-known Della Robbia glazed terracotta, places related to Dante and spiritual destinations such as the Camaldoli Hermitage and La Verna sanctuary. The Casentino valley is an oasis of greenery and includes the suggestive Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi.
andamp;nbsp;In the past the local farmers used to give places particular names according to their distinctive features. This site was named L'Agriturismo which means andamp;ldquo;the wellandamp;rdquo;, because of the large quantity of water present in the underground springs which flow on the hill. Thatandamp;rsquo;s the reason why our logo depicts the characteristic old well which was discovered in our park and other water springs too.
The housing complex is the result of a long, demanding restoration aimed at striking the right balance between the typical peasant tradition and the needs of modern life.
The apartments:andamp;nbsp;The apartments are located in two stone farmhouses. Near the edge of the woods there is the largest farmhouse with the common dining area and the shop on the ground floor; on the lower portion of the knoll stands the other farmhouse.
They comprise five and three apartments respectively. Each unit has an independent entry, original niches and other particulars, bathroom with shower box, special furnishings and a characteristic fireplace in the sitting room.
In addition, modern amenities include air-conditioning, heating, satellite TV, telephone and an outlet for Internet connection (not available at the moment).

San Savino has a very strategical location from where it is easy to reach the most famous cities of art for as well as Umbrie as Tuscany, from where within a short distance you find yourself in the untouched nature and the possibility to get to know the flora and fauna of this region and for making lovely walkes in the middle of nature. From a distance of 4 km there is a shopping centre and the village San Feliciano.
