The territory of Pieve a Nievole is rich of interesting Medieval buildings that, saving the characteristic marks of their original building, testify the origins of the village dating back to the Early Middle Ages.
Once entered the town it is possible to reach the ancient Saint Peter Parish, that is today also entitled to Saint Mark and thus it is named "Saint Peter Apostle and Mark Evangelist Church".
The actual religious building is the result of a rebuilding executed during the middle of the last century, according to the Neoclassical style: just the belfry remains today of its original building.
The interior of the Saint Peter Apostle and Mark Evangelist Church has three aisles and it is enriched with fine art works, among them a painting distinguishes, portraying an "Immaculate Conception", painted by Carlo Francesco Nuvoloni (1609-1662).
Interesting to visit is also the Martini Villa, built at the end of the XIX-th century by the architect Cesare Spighi. The residential building is preceded by a doble flight of staircase and by a fine facade, enriched with windows.
