In the Lazio 100 km. from Rome and 120 km. from Naples, San Felice Circeo represents one of the most enchanting landscapes of the Italian coastlines. Situated in the National Park, the area around Circeo includes an incredible morphological variety: beaches, cliffs, caves, islands, lakes, woods.
The historical and archaeological richness of the town complete the picture. Ulysses and Circe the witch, the cyclopic polygonal walls, remains of the Neanderthal man, the delightful historical centre and its Tower of the Templar Knights.
Along the coastline of Sabaudia, a thin line of land divides the magnificent beach and the wild dunes from the enchanting Paola Lake; the promontory, full of beautiful caves (including the famous grotta where remains of the Neanderthal man were found). Woods full of rare plants, part of the National Park with its suggestive itineraries extend along the coast, the beautiful beaches and a delightful touristic port, the islands of Ponza, Palmarola, Zannone and Ventotene: picturesque wonders, uncontaminated nature and extraordinary sea life. All this in a temperate climate which is considered highly therapeutic where the culture to eat and drink well has deep roots (past, fish, mushrooms, wine, ect) and where sports and hobbies find their ideal environment.
